Indian Session of the John Paul II Pontifical Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences (CANA) joyfully celebrates the appointment of its first alumnus as bishop: His Excellency Msgr. Patrick Ngwenya, newly ordained Bishop of the Diocese of Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe.
Msgr. Patrick pursued his Licentiate in Marriage and Family Theology at the John Paul II Institute, Thuruthy, Changanacherry, during the academic years 2022–2024. The Alma Mater is deeply proud to see one of her own students elevated to the episcopacy.
With heartfelt gratitude to God, we extend our prayerful greetings and blessings to Bishop Patrick as he begins his new episcopal ministry. May the Lord guide and strengthen him in shepherding His people with wisdom, compassion, and faith.
